Dear Family Member/Guardian of a child attending a MANSEF school,
As a family member of two children, now adults, who attended schools in the MANSEF
network, I am writing to you to tell you of a new initiative within the MANSEF schools
and to ask for your help.
Our journey of raising children with special needs is often full of both joys and
challenges.
The joy of knowing we are ensuring our children are getting the best care and support
is heightened with the knowledge that the many staff within the MANSEF schools are
ensuring our children are receiving the most appropriate opportunities to learn and
grow. One of our challenges is we often feel isolated and at times consumed by self
doubt that we are doing everything we can to help our child.
Starting this September, MANSEF’s Family Connections is forming and will be a way
for us to connect, support and advocate together! If you are receiving this letter
from your school personnel, this means your school is part of the MANSEF network…and
we want to hear from you!
This leads me to the second reason for you receiving this letter.
In order to make our connection to each other, I am asking for you to complete the
attached contact information form. I assure you, this information will not be shared
with anyone unless you agree, in advance.
Once you have completed the contact information section, please take a moment to
complete a brief survey located at the bottom of the contact form. You can forward
to me through your child’s school or contact me directly at 410.628.7527 or by fax
at 410.628.2873 or by mail to JumpStart Concepts, Inc., 2 Pickburn Court, Cockeysville,
MD 21030 or lastly, MANSEFFAMILIES@aol.com to reach me by email.
This is an exciting time for family members/guardians, their children and schools!
Building MANSEF Family Connections will assist in ensuring children and their family
members/guardians will always have a voice and access to the most appropriate education
for their child.
