 The Job Site’s newest project is on the same street as the last two houses completed. However, this time, the Job Site students and staff have taken on a renovation project instead of building a house from the beginning. The students have already pulled all the old carpet and kitchen cabinets out of the house, along with replacing the front porch and have begun a complete remodeling of the two bathrooms. With the help of John White, the engineer who has helped us with so many of our previous job site projects, the entry way has been redesigned to give more living space and a better flow to the rooms. This also entailed rebuilding the stairway in that area. During the remainder of the year, the students, under the supervision of the staff, will replace all the exterior doors and windows, enlarge the master bedroom, install new kitchen cabinets, appliances, flooring and put on a family room addition to the rear of the house. At completion, the property will also be landscaped and put in a new driveway.
