JOB SITE DEDICATION
On
June 12th, the staff and students of the Leary School Off Campus Work Experience
program held an open house and dedication of the most recent house. This two story,
four bedroom, two and a half bath home is next door to the house that was completed
two years ago - on Holyoke Drive in Annandale. Other features include a large walk
in closet in the master bedroom, a large family room, a separate dining room, and
a utility room with laundry facilities off the family room with an outside entrance
to allow for "muddy shoes".
Following the dedication that included remarks by Dr. Ed Schultze, President and
Executive Director of Lincolnia Educational Foundation, Inc. and Penny Gross, Fairfax
County Supervisor for the Mason District, the job site students led visitors through
the house.
The next project for the job site program will be the renovation of an existing house
on Holyoke Drive. This project will be completed by the end of the 2001-2002 school
year and will be followed by a third new house construction on this same street.
