Fall 2005
CELEBRATIONS OF SERVICE
Page 6
Over
the past few months, the staff and administration of Lincolnia Educational Foundation
has honored two long time members of the Leary School programs.
On May 2nd, staff from both the Leary School of Virginia and Leary School, Prince
George's County, gathered to congratulate and honor Mr. Gene Meale for his 40 years
of service to the Leary School programs. Mr. Meale has been with Leary School since
its inception and, during the past 40 years, has held a number of positions. For
the past 30 years, he has been the Director
of Admissions and Personnel and has probably interviewed 95% of the staff members
who were part of the celebration. Dr. Ed Schultze, Executive Director of Lincolnia
Educational Foundation, spoke for the staff, congratulating Mr. Meale and acknowledging
his tremendous contributions to Leary School for 40 years. We were also pleased that
many members of his family, including his wife, four daughters, one of his sons in
law and seven of his grandchildren were able to be with us for this occasion.
Mr. Meale was presented with several gifts, after which a luncheon was held for all
the staff and Mr. Meale's family.
On
November 7th, the staff gathered to honor Ms. Brenda Stemcosky, who recently celebrated
her 25th anniversary with Leary School. Ms. Stemcosky, who is the Office Manager,
is the backbone of the front office staff and someone every member of the staff recognizes
as an invaluable and integral member of our community. Following her recognition
from Dr. Schultze and others, Ms. Stemcosky was presented with several tokens of
our appreciation for her service to the Leary School programs and a luncheon was
served to all.
We
all congratulate both Mr. Meale and Ms. Stemcosky on all their years of service to
the Leary School programs!! You are appreciated and valued by everyone you meet!
