Art Therapy

Art Therapy is offered to promote social/emotional insight and provide support. The purpose of art therapy is to channel emotional energy through creative forms of self-expression, utilizing a wide variety of art media. All students participate in weekly group art therapy sessions. Individual art therapy is offered to students with an identified need.

The goals of Art Therapy are:
  • To provide the student with the opportunity to produce finished products which are reflective of his/her self expression and which are a source of pride;
  • To provide basic levels of skill development in the use of various art materials; and
  • To provide the student with additional resources for leisure time activities.
The Art Therapy program is developed and supervised by a registered art therapist at each campus.
